Contraception consultation in Haarlem
An IUD is a very reliable form of contraception that can be combined well with breastfeeding. The costs for placing an IUD are €73.35. These costs can be claimed from your health insurer.

Contraceptive consultation
Every woman is unique. During a contraceptive consultation, we discuss your wishes and go through various contraceptive methods with you. Of course we take your medical history into account. Do you opt for a hormone or copper IUD? Then you can also have it installed with us. We prescribe the drug digitally and you will receive a payment link by e-mail and/or text message. Once payment has been made, the IUD will be ready for you to install within a few days.
If you are not known to one of our midwives or if you have not yet been pregnant, we will discuss everything during a separate contraceptive consultation. This conversation takes about half an hour.

IUD with hormones
The hormonal IUD gradually releases a small amount of hormones and causes the mucus in the cervix to become ‘tougher’, making it more difficult for sperm to pass through. Placement of an IUD
